Installing a STB
I have a friend who`s a mechanic. He once told me that when installing a strut
tower brace, you should jack up the car so that the wheels are of the ground. This
would give the STB an improved effect.
Can anyone confirm this, or is it just a myth?

Same as with an X brace.. It's recommended but not everyone does it..
If you have the time to install it......then jack it up...
The consencus on the STB is that it has minimal if any effect anyways so going the extra step to jack it off the ground might just be a placebo effect....
Makes no difference. A car this stiff is not going flex inwards or outwards at the shock towers simply by lifting it off the ground.
You will have to raise at least one wheel to lower the shock, if it's a Ti Comptech STB.
