Does anyone know for sure if F22 and F20 camshafts are interchangeable? From what i am reading the camshafts that are out are only for the F20, but is it because no one has tried to see if they are interchangeable? or is it because they obviously won't swap over?

 

They have different lobe profiles, but they can be swapped.

 

What would the outcome of such a cam swap be? Would this be beneficial at all for either motor?

 

The 2.2L cams are optimized for a lower redline. I wouldn't expect a power gain by swapping them to a 2.0L

 

The AP2 exhaust cam has a little more lift than the AP1 version. Somebody needs to test this set up

 

it's not just the lift, but the timing, too.

still, I'd love to see it tried.
