Internal valve cover coating?

I hear that if you coat the inside of your valve cover with snake oil, it will not only reduce engine oil temps, but also under-hood temperatures as well.

That's the word on the street, anyway.

it's a special coating, many ppl use this coating at the dragstrip to coat the outside of the engine bay and keeps temps down. I never heard of the coating used inside. THe coating looks like paint and you even apply it like paint. Makes the engine look nice too, but it's pricey

Ceramic coatings on exhaust and headers all come off eventually.. but they see much higher temps compared to the rocker cover. I would still be afraid that it would come off, if it is indeed a ceramic.
