I passed with the silencers in. Rated at 92 db's I believe. Of course he had me rev it to 4500, not 6000.

 

damn man. in NJ we get a $50-70 ticket and i get pissed at that. i feel sorry for you guys, good luck.

 

i also have passed with an aftermarket exhuast. but with my integra. went to chp office, he just told to give it a quick rev. done, written off. cali cops can and will give you a modified exhuast ticket regardless of carb#. its all on the officers judgement.

 

Half the time the do the DB test wrong anyways most the time its done outside with no load on the car typicaly they only rev to about 4500 RPM's so you should be cool.

I agree with no CARB# on exhausts. Some claim to be 50 state legal thou (regarding DB rating).
