Default Iteration 2 of Custom Comptech Air Iintake

I swapped out my "hand made" coupler for a professionally made silicone coupler. One of the features that we put into the new coupler was a double hump to handle some of the movement when the motor is torquing to the passenger side. I also swapped out all of my hose clamps for beefier constant torque clamps. The original piece of silicone coming out of the blower was too short, so I put in a new longer section.

Here are some pics:

looks good, do you have any pictures on the filter setup in the fender?

BTW... I've been reading a lot on the effects of using a breather filter like you have set up. The general feeling I am getting is that that's a bad idea. The original setup is such that the intake manifold would create a vaccume to extrat the oil vapor as well as the pressure in the engine. By setting it up with the breather filter, it doesn't do this and cause cause blow by etc.

Anyone care to comment on this issue?

Thanks,
-S

Would it not be better to use another 90 degree bend through the wall, instead of the flex pipe? That flex is gonna cause a lot of turbulance. It also seems like it might colapse a bit when the SC really starts pumping.

I think the breather is necessary for FI, since you don't want to pressurize the valve cover.

You could tap the intake before the compressor and place the tube there instead of the intake manifold.
