I've got a noise
interested to get some opinions in my search to resolve..
the noise is not tappets - they sound normal..
the car is a daily driver and i do notice on cold start a noise, possible TCT which goes away prettyquick and is not there when warm - but thats not the noise..
the noise is on top of all the usual tappet/engine noise and can only be described as a little bit farty/raspy, not a clean crisp engine noise.. this worsens, not by much, but worsens when warm.. i have tried manually checking around manifold etc but not yet had a proper look myself and dealership have just dismissed as 'usual honda s2000 noises' without properly checking..
it is very obvious when in a situation where noise can resonate, i.e when you have walls around you.. and i can only best pin point it to be very much like an exaust blow of some kind, however have tried checking most of that..
it sounds a bit rough compared to other s2000's i've heard so i believe it is something not quite right.
the car is an MY04 with 24k on the clock, standard.. any ideas or points to rule out/check..
thanks in advance..

I used to have a weird noise, i thought it was the chain and it ended up being the serpentine belt. And i bought my car with 17k miles. I even replaced my tct and the noise was still there! The belt had 100k when i changed it. And now the motor is so quiet on cold starts.
