Default just installed fipk and have problems...

Hey guys, i just installed an K&N fipk for my 06 and I reset the ecu, and cleaned the filter with the k&n filter recharge kit before hand. Now when i start the car, and blip the throttle while I'm stopped, the rpms go up, come back down, and go a little lower than what I feel was normal idle and the car kind of shakes/vibrates a little, and then the rpms even out again.
Is this normal? Any input guys?
Thanks

That behavior sounds normal to me if you just reset the ECU, because it has to re-learn the settings. It should improve on its own in time (after driving).

Was this a used FIPK? If it was new, the filters come clean and pre-oiled.......

It's normal. I re-installed my K&N FIPK over the weekend. Reset the ECU and took it for a spin so the ECU could re-learn itself. Car actually died coming to a stop light. It's all good now.

There is no need to reset the ECU. The ECU will automatically adjust quicker than a full reset. Just saying.
