It would've been nice if they included a bracket that works straight out of the box so you wouldn't have to hack up the car just to install it.

I guess it depends how you drive everyday, and how you feel about the performance of the S.

I enjoy the benefits of the damper every time I shift gears.

For me, every gear change is a learning experience. It doesn't matter if I'm on the track or just going to the store, that internal monitor is always nitpicking away at my technique. The damper has definitely provided me with a means for more precision shifting and heel-toeing. I also notice the benefits in handling, due to the reduced engine torque effect- but certainly not as often.

For a great improvement in shifting quality, this is the answer.

IMO, the S2000 gear box is already too good for most owners. The whole 1st-2nd gear grind issue is all about technique...:flamesuit on:

^ I agree

But I still don't can't see (or feel) the benifit of the ETD...I've driven the car for 3 years with both track and 1/4 experience and I just don't see the justification for spending 2XX and having your shifter not vibrate as much. Maybe shifting experience was improved a little or slightly...but its soo little the I wrote it off as being all in my head I dono...but I guess I'm one of the few that wouldn't endorse this product unless of cousre...you want to make your engine bay look cooler

Theoretically would this increase the life of your motor mounts due to less engine movement?

If you get the ETD along with the STB do you still have to move the box? I know you'll still have to cut the heatshield but is there anyway around modifying the box?

if you don't think the damper does anything, take it off and sell it... though I am pretty sure you would notice it when you don't have it..

the most noticeable thing for me is the 2nd/3rd shift..across the box - which feels a lot easier to complete in a very swift motion

there must also be a general benefit to the components in the engine/transmission - the damper is absorbing some of the shock loads/energy during hard accelerations etc..

I'd sell mine...but Like I said before, It makes the engine bay look very cool. Plus the hassel to get it on, not to mention my fuse box bracket is messed up now, I think I'll leave it on and pretend that it is actually helping me in some way.
