I searched, but couldn't find anything relating to this. I've been having a really strange problem recently...

I have an 01 ap1 with about 91k miles on it. Spark plugs and valve adjustment were done about 15k miles ago. Fresh filter and oil, new air filter, good fluids. No check engine lights. No engine modifications. I've been driving this car for about 2 years and it isn't the normal jersey ness these cars have.

The problem I have is when I'm accelerating in any gear the car will experiences sporatic loss of power for up to a few seconds, and sometimes gives small bursts of power. It'll happen at any rpm except in vtec It seems. At its worst, feels and looks like I can't drive manual. At best it seems like I've momentarily dropped 30-40 horsepower. There have been times when the car would actually accelerate quicker under half throttle instead of full throttle. Usually I can stop it by disengaging and reingaging the clutch. It doesn't sound like its misfiring, actually it sounds the same except for being a bit quieter. It also doesn't happen every single time I accelerate. It happens when cold or hot. It is definitely not heat soak, me twitching my foot on the gas pedal, or me not working the clutch correctly.

Had a similar issue with an itr turned out to be partially damaged wiring on the fuel pump assembly.
