Car losing power in higher RPM range?
I just noticed this problem today, it's not really a bogging, but it's like I lose power for a half a second then it comes back and then losees again for half a second and then comes back whenever I'm accelerating hard between the 5k-7k RPM range. And when the "hiccup" actually happens the RPM's just stop and flicker for a quick second and then continue because I accelerate through the "rough" spot as another way to explain it.
It kinda feels like bogging, but like the engine just wants to die on me, but it's hard to explain. It almost feels like the car is about to pop out of gear or something, but that's just my opinion. It kinda feels like the car is gasping for air.
My car has enough oil, no CEL's ever, and air filter is clean/no blockage. I just had all my fluids changed less than 3000-4000 miles ago by a professional honda mechanic and haven't had any problems. My car does burn a lot of oil like probably 1.5 quarts every 800-1000 miles. If I was running to lean or rich, could this cause the problem?
Any help appreciated.

Map sensor, unclip it and give it about 3 firm taps with the back end of a screwdriver to loosen up any debris that might be clogging it. Its the sensor on top of the throttle body. Very common problem.
