Default jerking stearing wheel

hey i noticed today when i first turn my car on before it warms up, when I turn the stearing wheel its hard to turn and seems to like jerk and click into place as I turn it. I havent checked the stearing fluid yet cuz it was late but do you think its just the fluid or am I going to need to replace the power stearing pump?

There is a problem with either the torque sensor or the servo motor. I have the same problem. I think it's the sensor because it only happens in one direction, but no one I talk to has even heard of my problem. Just wait until you steering wheel starts vibrating real fast for no reason. Mine is just like yours though. It only happens once in the morning. It's done it since I bought it with 35k on the clock.

Could also be the connectors or wiring causing a poor signal between the sensor and the controller.

No. Dealer bad. I could probably figure it out if it bothered me, but it's a not a serious problem right now.

Try resetting the torque centre position.. I've done it to mine and it seems to be better, but not completely cured. Search it, there's this SCS method of doing it. I've got a spare torque sensor if you ever need/want to replace it.

Peace.
