KAAZ LSD Fluid?
Ok, I've done the searches, and all I have now is a headache.
I have just had a KAAZ LSD installed on my S. Are there any other diff. fluids that I can use, other than the Fluid that KAAZ sells?(it's way to expensive, and difficult to get)

Call them and they will ship it to you. I have the Kaaz 1.5 way and I only use their oil...

You need to find out what's "magical" about the Kaaz fluid and see if anyone sells something similar. This is anecdotal only, so take it for that it's worth but I've hard of people using the Kaaz fluid for the break-in period and then switching to their regular fluid. Your mileage may vary and I take no responsibility for any damage that may follow as a result of you following that recipe.
If the Kaaz diff has special lubrication requirements due to its construction then you'd better find out if you can safely run any other fluid without damaging the unit.

Looks like it will be easier to stick with their fluid.
...thanks for the quick response.
$40 for 2 liters isn't that bad I guess

Well, if it's GL-5 with friction modifiers then you probably have some options. Of course if they use boar mucous as a FM then you might be screwed

He also said not to use synthetic base fluids. This will cause your clutches in the lsd to be very loud.
Well there you go.
I'm sure someone here has a recommendation then.
LE-607 while not specifically labeled GL-5, might be a suitable oil. It does not use synthetic base stocks. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in with empirical information.
