My knock sensor went bad and replaced it the other day, but while putting the new one on I guess the socket wasn't on right and popped the in half. I was able to snap it back together. It worked for a few days and all codes went away but it seems to be bad again, but luckily only paid 60 bucks from it from a friend. My question is has anyone tried one of the ones off of ebay? They're like 35 dollars and obviously much cheaper than oem. I dont know if i can afford a new oem at the moment and wanted to know if these are any good.

 

mine snapped at the plastic plug part when i was doing my swap. i put it on silicone has been fine for over a year and a half now. im surprised

yea dude i just made sure it sat the way it originally sat, let the silicone dry, gently snapped the plug back on, cleared the code and havent had a problem.

 

I just tried fixing my old one and put it in and can't really feel a difference.... gonna go see if its shooting out a code tomorrow since the previous owner took out the engine light
