Default Koni install problem

I have a set of Konis I'm installing. I installed the passenger front with the high perch setting at first and decided to remove it and go with the lower setting. When I put the assembly back in (with lower perch setting)I noticed that the upper A arm does not look like it will clear the lower perch when the car is lowered to the ground and the suspension is compressred. The shocks were used and they had been on the previous owner's car on the higher setting. Am I correct in assuming that the Koni's will not work in the front of the S with the lower perch setting or am doing something wrong here?

The lower perch moves in concert w/ the control arms (it goes up as you lower the car off the jack) so it doesn't require a whole bunch of clearance .... just enough. If it clears w/ the suspension at full droop, it will most likely clear when the car is lowered (the perch does not need to fit through the upper a-arm, it stays above it).

Thanks to all. I realized that it does not have to go throught the A-arm after studying it for a bit so the tire went on and I got to working on the other front shock. Took her out for a ride tonight and just got home, the car feels great with the Konis and Tanabe GF210s...a bit stiffer ride but more control is definately noticed. Now it's time for a new alignment!

Thanks again,
Manny
