Default labor to replace head?

Hey guys, i have to put a new head on my stock AP1 (bent valves from over-rev). I have all the tools I need and the ability to do it in conjunction with my friend who is a certified benz tech. I was just wondering how long is a realistic estimate on putting a new head on from start to finish?

We were thinking that allowing for dicking aroudn time + the possibility of something going wrong it would take us a full-day.

Is that a solid estimate? tahnks

Yea...once you get good at it you can get it down to 3-4 hours. Obviously the time can increase exponentially if you and your buddy dick around a lot. Dont forget a new headgasket.
