Default Leaf Blower (Electric Supercharger)

I know I'll probably get flamed good for this one but I wanted to throw out an idea and see some input. I'm pretty mechanical so I know I could make this work but I'm unsure of what effect it will have on my engine. Heres the idea....... $40 leaf blower from Target, custom "Y" type intake( I'll make one with extra parts I have) with one end with a filter and the other a leaf blower. Then I run an extension cord($5) under the back of the hood and over the windshield(or eventually through the firewall if it works) with a power converter($15) plug it in to the power outlet in the car only after it's running so not to put a strain on the battery. This would not be an every day thing just for track times or goofing around. I just don't have a clue about how much boost(psi) a 140mph leaf blower would put out, any guesses anybody? This is only $60 out of pocket , is it worth trying or is it like 25psi that's going to blow my engine?

Try a search first. Then, once you've realized your folly by examining the other threads discussing this amazing discovery, come back and delete this thread.

Do you know how fast a 'real' supercharger spins?

Speed means little...a dental drill spins at 20k RPM's +.

The thing that makes the difference is how how many CFM or air flows through.

I actually was thinking about the same concept a while back. I guess I should of pattened it. I was wondering if there was any electric fan that was able to push 7 psi. I don't know how that is actually measured. I would think you would also need an ecu upgrade to add more fuel unless the stock air flow sensor would be able to companate for that much more air.

Anyway, if did work wouldn't this be better than any turbo or supercharger since it would be able to push full boost from idle to redline. You wouldn't have to wait for the any exhaust pressure or belts to wind up.
