Default Leakdown #'s after Over Rev

So a week or so ago I grabbed 2nd gear rather then fourth after being at 9,000 RPM in 3rd, so I thought a leakdown test and compression test might be a good idea to see if I have a bent Intake/Exhaust valve and to see if my rings are in good condition. Granted I realized what I had done very quickly and put in the clutch, however as we all know in this senario a valve can go bad in the blink of an eye. So here are the numbers, the car is an 01 with just under 24,000 miles on it. What do you guys think about the numbers?

1 8% Comp. 205
2 9% Comp. 205
3 10% Comp. 210
4 8% Comp. 205

All numbers are nice and close to each other and compression still looks good, I swear these motors are amazing.

sounds good. some people have higher numbers but as long as they are close together you are fine. i had similar numbers.

I would suggest you remove the valve cover and inspect for broken retainers.....dont want to drop a valve a few thousand miles down the road.

If there was an issue with the retainers, wouldnt that show a variance in my percentages in my leakdown test?

A cracked retainer would not genearaly show up on a leak down test unless it was so far gone that the valve was not seating properly. You only need a small crack in the retainer that will propagate over time to lead to a dropped valve. You had better check it out to be sure.
