leaking Clutch master cylinder?

Default leaking Clutch master cylinder?

hello, i just did a clutch pedal adjustment and i notice a black grease like substance coming out of the clutch master cylinder. it isn't drippy but feels almost like grease. is my CMC failing or is it grease?

Its ok for there to be black grease where the rod meets the cmc but if you see a drop begin to form below the cmc then it is leaking. You can touch it lightly with a paper towel and see if it soaks in some liquid if it does then yes there is fluid leaking
