Default Leaky Blower...

It's been confirmed, the blower is leaking oil out of the casing. It appears it will be replaced under warranty by Comptech, when they get some more in; they're currently waiting on a shipment.

Doesn't seem bad enough that I can't drive the car...just something that needs to be replaced. New brackets, new blower...just about got a brand new kit in the last month.

Wes, Can you be a little more specific about were the oil is coming from and were you can see it?

No. My mechanic called to tell me, he noticed it when he removed the blower to replace all of the brackets. Comptech said it's most likely coming from the allen screws / plugs in the back, and asked us to check again. So, he did...and he says it's actually leaking. I haven't seen it yet...so I can't add much to that. My car is still at the shop.

Hi Wesmaster,

How did you get Comptech to approve that the oil is leaking? My supercharged has been leaking oil and I could not get them to accept that it is leaking. The Honda dealer told them that the oil is leaking through the crankcase cover which is not true. I know this is not true because I bought an oil catch can. There is no single drop of oil has been comming out through the crankcase cover since I installed the oil catch can. Please let me know how did you prove to them, thanks.

Hello Wesmaster,

Also can you please get the detail of where the oil is leaking? With my situation, the oil is leaking through the air intake tube and right below where the bypass valve. Thanks,

Hey Wes,
I'm not very familiar with superchargers... but how does it get the oil. When Speedcraft was doing my turbo they ran an oil line from the oil pan. We had some issues though. Appearantly the S2000 has a pretty high pressure oil system and it was blowing right through the turbo and smoking like crazy. Dwight had to put a restrictor in the line to remedy this. Could it be a similar situation with the turbocharger???
