leaky trunk
I Have problem with my trunk taking in water. I have an oem wing & I have siliconed one of the screws that showed signs of water seapage. It is still leaking & I am at a loss anyone have any idea of what could be the problem.....
Thanks Honda for giving me a mini me jacuzzi with my s2000...
You know how people here are always recommending treating the window seals with silicone grease? What they neglect to tell you is that you should be treating the hood and trunk seal too. Your trunk seal may have gotten dry over time and does not actually seal up with the trunk lid. It may be possible to bring it back. Wash it with warm soap and water, then apply silicone grease. Also check to see if that seal is damaged or loose anywhere.
Other places to check: How's your antenna mast and base? Are these tight and appear to be in solid contact with the car? Look inside the gas filler door. Anything odd or loose in there?
Failing these things, layer newspapers all inside the trunk. Then water it with a garden hose. Open the trunk and see if there is any spot that is wet. Look above this to give a clue as to where the water might be coming in.
