so you need a total of 12 type A bulbs and 4 type B bulbs, correct?
yes i believe so. kertef originally ordered 11 A's and 4 B's because he didnt change the Red hazard lights when all the others were changed to blue. but if your changing all of them then yes 12A's and 4Bs

Well...I suppose 'boo' for me... I went into this project as many of my dash bulbs were burned out. In fact, with over 200K miles on the car, I appreciated that was just a matter of fact. Yet, when I finished replacing bulbs this evening...all the very same 'out' bulbs were still 'out', although now replaced by LEDs. Checked fuses, but all are okay. Dunno where to proceed from here .

PS. I *do* nonetheless thank kertef & animeS2K for their contributions to this DIY project. Directions were dead-on

I'll sure give it a try. ...but another weekend . I just buttoned up everything up from a weekend full of S2K projects (I'll limit that grocery list to dash-related to keep this thread on focus ). I removed the bulbs from behind my RPM & Speedo area of the digital dash, installing instead a measured length of flexible LEDs (I have a diffused blue filter sandwiched in there. Came off nice. Not 'Qube' nice, but certainly 'BYS'-nice enough for me. Plus its bright enough to see in full daylight now .

Probably because aging S2000s are of late hitting a 'civic-price-point'

Remember that the lights are polarity sensitive when installing them. When I installed mine I had 4 that didn't light up so I took them out and twisted them in the other way and they lite right up
Reversing the polarity did the trick Thanks

Guys
Has anyone done this on a jdm spec car? Would it use and require the same amount of bulbs as a usdm model?

Anyone know how many of each are needed for an AP2? Is it really only 4 in the HVAC controls? It seems like there should be at least 5 or 6 (I know the vent selector uses two as one of mine is out and only half of it lights up).

Also, the bulb site now has OEM Japanese versions (as well as a SuperStar version) of these bulbs that are much brighter, do you think these will fit too?

Thanks!
Matt
