Anyone know a lb. per lb. comparison between the stocker and some of the aftermarkets?

for those of you - like me - who are deficient in metric conversions:

aftermarket: 3.8kg = 8.378 lbs.
stock: 6.8kg = 14.991 lbs.

quite a significant decrease in rotating weight.

Check out Wesmaster's thread. I added a little info from emails I exchanged with Comptech and King Motorsports.

I've had the TODA flywheel in my car for 7 months now. Real nice piece made of chromoly. Talked my co-worker into getting one last week. It was $490 including shipping.

I just got ahold of my old one (Flywheel)w/30,000mi on it
Those suckers are SMALL!! and the surface area of the clutches are tiny!! I couldnt beleive it, no wonder these cars cant stand clutch abuse.

My total for stock parts was about 500 bucks FW/PP/Bearings

Next time around I will get the Toda and prolly a new pressure plate(stronger)

Don't flame me, but what advatages are there in getting an aftermarket flywheel. I know that it saves weight, but it sounds like its only 6lbs.

Anyone had success getting their dealer to install the lightened flywheel for free while replacing the clutch for TSB54?
