Default Lights dimming

On my 01 with 76k I have noticed my lights will dim when I put it in reverse, and also my wideband number lights go up and down as far a brightness. Also my cluster and radio do too. Judy randomly sometimes. I don't know if it would be my battery or my alternator. Also is it doing any harm like that?

well.. if u buy one from honda its like 600 dollhairs (eff that) soo.. abc autoparts had one for like around 130 i think with trade in of older one. so was prob remanufactured. but im fine with that cuz they have warranty. remanufactured alts are hit or miss some are golden and some are just garbage. 2 in a row were trash for me and the 3rd was the charm. all under warranty so no problemo. and main reason i went to abc was because they got it to me in 3 days. usual wait is like a week most places.

Easy way to test altwrnator without taking it out. Go rent or borrkow a volt meter, then just check voltage at battery with car idling. Should be at around 13.9 volts or so and then have some one run the ac full blast and rev and hold rpm at about 3 k and it should b charging at about 14 vokts and above.
