Looking at Buying a 2004 S2000
Hey I'm looking at buying a 2004 S2000 and was wondering if any of you have any tips on what to look at on the car. I have been searching on here for the past 2 days looking to see what I could find, but just wanted to know if there are any specific things I needed to check for on the 2004 model.
Thanks,
Chase

Get a 2003 (AP1), unless you like the weaker engine, soft suspension and a clutch delay valve
What do you need to know? I would say look at how many owners it had and the mileage. Preferably, be the 2nd owner. If the car has over 80K miles, find out if the clutch has ever been replaced. If not, it is probably on its last leg. Also ask other common things like when was the last tune-up done, were the valves ever adjusted? Etc. Are you buying private or dealer? Hope this helps.

You realize in the S2000 Talk section there's a thread that's titled
"Thinking about buying an S2000?" or "Is this used S2000 worth it?" or the stickied threads talking about the differences or problems/issues by year?
Surely your searching brought that up.

Harsh maybe, but if I'm able to find those threads before I bought mine others are too. Specifically when they say "I've been searching on here for 2 days"
Took me two minutes from my original post to look at the first page on two sections and pick up three stickied/front page posts all completely relevant to the OP's question.

You should have only posted the second one, not the first.
