with gas prices now a day, for 10 dollars should get you around 3 gallons of gas, maybe 3.3. So driving 80 miles which means your car get around 24-26 MPG, which is normal.

 

I heard about this. They say you should get gas when it's cold outside because when it is hot, gas expands, so you aren't filling up as much as you would on a cold night/morning. I don't know if this is true though.

 

The effect is negligible. The gas is stored in tanks underground, and tends to have a consistant temperature.

Whenever gas prices go up, these "helpful" tips start floating around, kind of like dead goldfish. They smell about the same, too.
