Loss of Power
Hey guys,
A couple of weeks ago I noticed a substantial lost of power when driving home, so when I arrived I opened the hood and the engine seemed to be running hot. I checked the oil and sure enough it was very low. I know that VTEC runs off oil pressure and above 6000 rpms is where most of the power loss is, so I changed the oil(Mobil 1 Synthetic 10W-30). I reset the ECU as well, no difference. At first I just noticed the VTEC decrease but now I might be feeling a loss in power in the whole rpm range. Whether this is paranoia or not I don't know but the loss of power in VTEC is definitely there. Any ideas on what it could be?
