Default LOST MY VTEC!

My car has 70K miles on it. I just did an synthetic oil change last week on it. Everything was going fine, until all of the sudden, i noticed the exhaust note sounding different. A day later, when i next took it out... I got into VTEC and noticed it had a VERY VERY different growl to it. The next day, i touched VTEC to see if the problem still occurred, and nowww, VTEC won't even pull. It gets louder as you can hear the lobes switching, but NO POWER and the sound is DISGUSTING!!!
Has anyone ever experienced any of these sick s2k's? The only thing i can think of is maybe a valve adjustment. I have NO IDEA what this could be.
Please help-

have you checked your oil level? if the level is below minimum then vtec will not engage.

yes... i checked my oil level. it's fine, right where it should be. VTEC sounds like it is engaged... but there is no PULL when it is engaged.

could be your clutch. does the different growl sound like the engine not under load?

You should probably watch going into vtec until you figure it out. if its cam related, shit could go wrong.

does the s2k have a butterfly valve if it does it could be that. Or it could be the VTEC silenoid (I can't spell I know), it's rare, but that could posibly be the problem.

Also if the s isn't up to proper temperatures (cold) then it won't engage either, so you could check your temp gauge.

Is your cluster throwing a CEL?

ok... i'm going outside right now to perform a few things:
-Resetting ECU
-Removing VTEC solenoid/cleaning filter
-MAP Whack

I HAVE replaced my MAP sensor, but about 2 years. I could imageine that It could possibly have malfunctioned since then though. I ALWAYS let my car warm up before ANY VTEV heaven.

Does anyone think that it could be a THERMOSTAT problem? I have never replaced this. I DID however, have my radiator cap give out and leak some fluid on my radiator a few weeks ago. I have since changed my cap... but have noticed........

-When i start the car and leave it at idle in the mornings to warm up, the heater STILL isn't warm like it used to be (the last 3 years). Also, the heater ONLY works fine when I am under throttle. when i stop, say at a red light, the heater will then blow luke warm, until the light turns green and i go again. Does anyone think that this could be a a faulty thermostat for the LOSS OF VTEC and/or heating problem???
