And BTW your secret compartment is above your glove compartment, there is a little tab by the latch, push it in and OPEN SESAME!

alright... i appreciate people who have been trying to help me figure this out. I ALWAYS wait until 5 minutes AFTER my 3 bars of temperature are acheived. I ALWAYS make sure my oil level is right. I am going this route and HOPE that i can fix this problem... because these 3 parts ARE under $100, it really will be draining my account.
Steps I am now going to take are (in order):

1- Replace Thermostat
2- Replace radiator cap
3- Replace MAP sensor

I will then reset my ECU and have every finger and hell... TOE CROSSED!

If anyone disagrees with my plan of action, don't be afraid to speak your thoughts, as long as they are serious suggestions.... and ESPECIALLY doesn't have anything to do w/my "secret compartment." LOL

-thanks a lot everyone for all the help-

I think you should go the map route first.
The other "fix's " arent really a solution to your problem. if your thermostat was broken , you would either not be able to get your bars , or you overheat.
You also would not be able to enter VTEC, you would be rev-limited
Like the thing you hit at 9100 rpm , or at 6 if you dont let your car warm up.

Do a map whack first

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...&#entry12038827 it's alot cheaper than a replace.
and I'de spray some carb cleaner down the hole that the map sensor covers.

just did the MAP whack for the 4th time in 2 days... same outcome. I also checked all my plugs for the hell of it, and they all looked fine. I double checked every damn plug under the hood, and all is well. I am so frustrated with this. I've never had to take my car to a mechanic before, and i REALLY don't wanna start now. I just don't understand WHAT the problem could be.
I keep re-thinking what i have done to my car in the last couple weeks. All i did was (1) Change the oil/filter, and (2) replace the radiator cap.

Does anyone have any idea why my heater seems to blow luke warm when i am at idle, and then will kick back up to normal temperatures when under acceleration? These were the ONLY two things I have even touched as far as my car in the last 3 months (last oil change).

Why can't i figure this out?!?!?!

HERE'S A THOUGHT>>>
I have not cleaned my K&N air filter on the end of my AEM v1 cold air intake for about 6 monhts. I know i know w know... i should clean it every 3... but could this cause my VTEC to be starved for air... leaving the car to drive normal from 0-6k, and then when VTEC "engages," be STARVED for the intake of air? Just a thought...
