Yes, definitely. The engine must be cranking at a good rate to get a good compression reading.

Also, as someone already mentioned, throttle must be held fully open (WOT = Wide Open Throttle). Engine warm. No fuel going in (remove the fuel pump fuse). Etc.

Remove all the spark plugs to make it easier for engine to crank fast.

Since your battery is in trunk, maybe use a second battery, with thick jumper cables, hooked up to battery terminals at front of car, so you'll have two batteries in parallel. Or just temporary move battery back to front of that is easier. Make sure its fully charged and healthy before test.

thank you very much, all advices I maded when I did the tests but now come from my garage to remove the battery of the trunk, tomorrow i will relocate the battery in its original place because I was also giving starting problems due to voltage drop by the so long wire from the trunk. tomorrow ill made the compression test other time, I hope it goes better.

Well, male sure the battery is fully charged. If its been laboring in the trunk, working harder to start engine, working harder to get a charge, its probably not fully charged now. Through a charger on it overnight before you test compression again.

You just want to insure max air flow into the cylinders, from the intake. True whether drive-by-wire, to not.

For the dbw cars, gas pedal won't work. You have to remove intake hise, then prop the throttle plate open with something. Make sure its not something that could get sucked into intake.
