Remove all the spark plugs to make it easier for engine to crank fast.
Since your battery is in trunk, maybe use a second battery, with thick jumper cables, hooked up to battery terminals at front of car, so you'll have two batteries in parallel. Or just temporary move battery back to front of that is easier. Make sure its fully charged and healthy before test.

Well, male sure the battery is fully charged. If its been laboring in the trunk, working harder to start engine, working harder to get a charge, its probably not fully charged now. Through a charger on it overnight before you test compression again.
