Default Low Profile Jacks

I am in the market for a low profile jack for my "S". I have seen some listed on the web. The ones that I have seen are from Ranger, DFF and AC hydraulics. Does anyone have any experience with any of these? Does anyone have any recommendations on what is a good jack for our cars? I just changed my tranny and diff fluid this weekend and my little hydraulic combined with the factory scissor jack left way too much to be desired. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I was just searching on this subject last night; you should too, there is a lot of information out there.

I currently have the Costco jack and it works good, but I can't reach the front jack point and if you're really low you need to pre jack.

This is the one I have my eye on now:

It's heavy and spendier than most, but takes away the other hassles. From the sound of it (on the boards), it goes on sale semi-frequently; when it goes on sale again I'm going to pick it up.

LOW RISE JACK:
http://www.asedeals.com/automotive_floor_jacks.html

Model 200T - 2 Ton Speed Jack
"Low Rider" Low Profile Floor Jack

and dont forget: JACKSTANDS

http://www.asedeals.com/jackstands.html
Model RJS-3T 3 Ton Capacity Heavy-Duty Jack Stand

Stock S2000: no problem with jacking the car up. The jack is HEAVY DUTY weighs almost 100 lbs, the pictures dont do it justice the saddle is rubber and nice for those that use the rear diff as a jackpoint, i would still recommend using a shop towel of some sort. The jack is serviceable and the service shop is in San Diego I think which is a huge plus for me, as i live in socal. The Jack "arm bar thingy" is extra long so you hardly work at all to get it up (thats what she said). the only problem is that it does take a few extra pumps to get it going (are you serious? see above ^), but once you get it about 1/4 of the way it just takes off, some other jacks like the RANGER i believe have a quick foot pedal to assist you. The AC hydraulic is the premier automotive car jack but will set you back some serious money almost double what the AFF set me back. I dont live by my jack but i do dabble in weekend tinkering, the AFF is the perfect tool for the job. After my last "Cosco" jack lost compression about halfway up and caused the jack stand to puncture a hole into my car I decided to buy a quality jack. save yourself the trouble and do the same.

I think I've seen a low profile one at Costco for a good price. As a matter of fact it looked exaclty like the one Griott's Garage sells for some rediculous price like $350. I think the Costco one was around $100, but its been a while since I've seen it, so don't quote me!

I'm going to have to look into one of these too. My Crafstman wont fit under my stock height car and I'm getting ready to do the Espilir/Koni thing, which will make it even worse.

I just picked up the Costco one from Costco.com. Free shipping. $100 plus tax.

Seems to be just what I needed.

I have the Omega. It is the only jack I have found that can reach the center jacking point of a lowered car without pulling up on blocks first.

ive found that Honda conveniently designed the front rocker jack plates with two spots next to each other. this is enough distance apart to jack the side of the car up with my Harbor Freight jack, and then slide a jack stand underneath the other pad right next to the jack. the trick is to remove the useless U handles on the HF jack.

[edit] i just looked at that linked thread above. i disagree that only one pad is usable for lifting and supporting the car. its worked fine for me.

I have the AC Hydraulics DK13HLQ from ASEDEALS.COM

This one will reach the center lift points front and back. I'm very happy with it!
