Thanks for the idea Elistan.

I had my shop cut the exhaust pipe just before the y-split and weld on a ball joint and flange assembly. They also built a small tip to help direct the exhaust heat away from the diff and drive boot. And they welded on an additional hanger to support the center resonator. With the flange I can reinstall the stock system whenever necessary.

Net weight loss is 40lbs. Cost $75 including parts and labor.

Sound is really great, a real sports car sound! Fantastic in VTEC!

The flange welded to cut off and flared tail piece:

The tip installed on the ball joint:

Hahah Mike, I was going to ask you in the Ohlins shock thread how many street miles you put on the car, but looking at this now, I figure it can't be too many...

Are you doing any of the upcoming SpeedVentues events?

jzr, I'm doing the Tracquest event next week and SpeedVentures in January. The Ohlins are OK - uprated springs are in the mail. Also, I am going to try your RM dam idea next week.

What are the choices for spring rates? Didn't know they even come with different rates. Thanks.
