Default Lowering Stock Seats?

I just got my 02 and its damaged, so I'm fixing it.
When I set in the car, it seems like I set higher than in other sports cars I've owned. I'm only 5'11" and I'm only 1" or so from the top!
I can't imagine being 6'1" or more!
Has anyone lowered the stock seat? Maybe even one inch would be nice.
Thanks, Butch

I am in the process of ordering the backyard seat rail (Its for lowering the stock set roughly 3/4-1"). Hope that helps.

There's a DIY somewhere here about lowering the seat. Not easy, but possible.

Backyard Special seatrails are another option at about $300.

I have the BYS seat rails and they are great. Worth every penny for me. I'm 5'11" and I can actually see stoplights top-up w/o ducking down!

I've done it both ways; DIY on my first S2000 (MY 2000) and Backyard Special seat rails on my 2003. Both achieve about the same result. Using the BYS seat rails is easier, but more expensive, so the choice is yours.

I wouldn't worry about 1" of clearance, my head brushed against the top until I lowered the seats!
