Main't Req.
Hey guys, I use to have the Main't required light flash then go away after the car was on for 5 seconds or so but now the past couple days its just ON the whole time not even flashing. anyone know why this would be?
BTW., when you get an oil change they fill up the AC coolant right? Cuz my car use to get cold like ASAP now it needs to be full blast for a lil bit to get cold. just thought someone might know why.

That light comes on every 7500 miles. After a few hundred miles, it switches to permanent "on" mode. Mine has been on for months because I'm too lazy to take the 15 seconds it requires to reset it.
If your AC isn't working well, take it to a profesional to have it looked at.
To reset the main' req. light:
As written by the immortal xviper:
To reset the MAINTENANCE REQUIRED light (As indicated by the light that says, "MAINT REQU'D"):
- Have key inserted in ignition but in the OFF or LOCKED position.
- Push and hold the trip reset button on the right bottom corner of your gauge clutster.
- Turn key to full ON position and continue holding the button till the light goes off.
-(This part has been added for those who are impatient or who have the light only at the "blinking" stage and not yet solid.) KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO BE SURE OF A POSITIVE RESET. Or maybe just be patient and wait till the light is on all the time before doing this.
- (Some manuals may be a bit off in that they do not tell you to turn the key to the ON position.)
