I bought my 2003 w/112k on it. The former owner didn't give me records, so when I got it I did:

Valve adjustment and retainer inspection, no sunken retainers! Replaced plugs.

Coolant, it still was dark green type 2, now it's blue.

Oil change, w/ Mobil1 0w40 high HTHS euro oil, before I knew F20Cs like to drink Mobil 1. And an OEM PCX filter.

Trans fluid change, I used Honda's MTF. Fluid was clean.

Rear diff fluid, I used Redline 75w 90. Fluid was clear and no metal flake in oil.

Cabin filter, it looked as if it was never done.

Air filter, was nasty.

4 tires, rears were near bald, and no grip on even damp pavement.

Next things I'll do over time, clutch, it's a little high and original, but doesn't slip. Engine belt. Remove aftermarket alarm that interferes with start signal from button every once in a while.

Actually,the 0w30 oil is about $8.15qt& the OE 5w30 is $4.70/qt.

1. I have an 04, bought with less than 9k miles 3 yrs. ago; I change it twice a year, before and after winter, app. 5k miles between changes.
2. Used Mobil until last summer, and switched to Amsoil, the 25k stuff, and I will now change oil once per year, which will be about 10-12 miles.
3. In exactly 3 yrs. I have put 32k miles on the car.
4. I only pay $8/qt. for the good stuff, but I always find a way to buy wholesale. And, no, I am not a dealer.
5. In fact, I have waited my whole life to have a car good enough to warrant buying Amsoil; Mobil 1 was costing me $5 or %6/qt. and I bought 6 per box at Sam's, and since I will change oil once every year, it's not costing a premium anyway.

Oil change every 5k miles, plus it's easy to keep track.
