Default maintenance required light?

Just got a maint req light at 12,200 miles, had car since Oct 05, so just over a year and 8 months ownership...

Any ideas? Standard light for tires or oil change or something? First time light has come on since I bought it new.

I'll be honest I didn't look in the manual yet, will when I get home....

thx

hold down the trip odometer button, then turn the key forward and hold until the light goes out. approx 10-15 seconds.... it is the oil change light..... it's in the owners manual as well, you are correct.

thanks bro, I figured at that low a mileage it had to be some service interval.

Its not just an oil change light, its a general maintenance light. Goes off after a certain mileage, in your case 12000, and then goes on again 7 thousand miles or so later.

Pretty much reset it, check your plugs, fluid etc etc. And you should be good.
