I'm sure this is somewhere but I can never find it with the search feature....so sorry in advance.


Anyways, just recently I started getting a Maitenance Required Light when I start the car, it blinks 8 times (i believe) then goes off until i start the car again.


Any ideas? Is it just time to bring it to the dealer for a checkup or what? Nothing seems to be wrong with the car, just the light.

It's because you're misspelling maintenance.

 

(By the way, it's described in the FAQ)

And I used the search terms: resetting maintenance light

Pulled up a bunch of threads. What were you using to search?

 

 

The owner's manual has a lot of good info in it. Please read it.

 

hold down the trip reset button, put in your key, start the car while holding the button, keep on holdin the button for a few seconds, no more light

i tried "maintenance required light" and got a bunch of stuff i couldnt use, and i would check my manual but i dont have it.

I checked a couple of threads but didnt see anything, i'll look at the FAQ, thanks
