On my way to SC it threw a check engine light, I didn't think anything of it because it periodically threw a check engine light because of the Intake, or a misfire in cylinder 1. I was in cruse control doing about eighty and it started spitting and jerking, so I lowered the cruse to 75, did fine for about an hour then the same thing. After I realized the problem was only progressively getting worse I stopped for the night. The next morning it would run fine in town but once I hit the highway it wouldn't keep any consistent speed. Pulled the codes and I was showing misfires in cylinder 1,2, and 4. I checked the plugs and aside from being the wrong kind they looked good. After that I just dropped it off at the local dealer, hoped for the best, and continued on.

I believe they should cover it, even though it was driver error if it wasnt your fault. However it will be extremely difficult if not impossible to say it was one of the owners before you. I would definately go back and explain the situation and see if maybe you can get at least half reimbursment.

Well, at least one of the 6 previous owners.
