I did this mod at the weekend....perfect with no CEL
I also have the T1R and the 02 sensor is perfectly horizontal...weird hows yours is hanging all the way down - are you sure you have it installed correctly?
there's really just one way to install it. if i flip it over, the other end doesn't line up. if i flip over the the exhuast part to make it line up with the test pipe, then the hangers will be pointing down.

i went ahead an ordered an angle bracket from a VW site that someone made that sets the o2 sensor at an angle. it worked on their VW's that also have the same flaw when it comes to testpipes, hopefully it'll work on my S as well.

i emailed aj-racing.com and they never replied back to me

Hi i was wondering if anyone can tell me where i can get one of those 90 degree bend adapters so i an fit my 02 sensor because i don't have room to add a non fouler before the o2 sensor. IF i add the non fouler then my sensor would be touching another piece under the car and i wouldn't be able to put it in. I think i need the 90 degree bend adapter is someone can please tell me where i can get it. Thanks

I got mine from a user on http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1366095&page=8 named Wayne92SLC. He sent the part on monday, and I just recieved it today on Wednesday. Excellent craftsmanship and very nicely packaged as well. He said he still has a few left at $35 shipped. PM me if you want his email. I haven't tried it yet on my S2000, but I'll be installing it tomorrow and I'll let you know how it goes.

I've noticed that inspections around me are now done using the OBDII port. If I were to get my turbo installed with a test pipe, this would fool the ECU and help me pass the test?

As long as you are using a stock PCM and all the OBDII readiness codes have passed.

AEM EMS will not pass.

But won't they still put a "sniffer" up the tail pipe? Without a cat, wouldn't the emissions be detected with this sniffer?

If they use a gas analyzer, they'll find no convertor. It all depends on the state's emmisions requirements.

Move to Alabama, they don't even bother with emmisions testing.

Just did a T1R and 02 sim, some notes...

-The angle is perfect, actually angled up slightly...maybe redesigned

-no CEL after 2 weeks

-did a Fujitsubo cat back as well. I also have a Fuji on my car, and I can say without exaggeration, his is more than 2.5 times as loud as mine. He used to have an Invidia....and if he were to fly by me with stock cat/invidia or test pipe/fuji I would not have noticed the difference.
