I use the Berk Unit too, and it got me a free cell.

I'm gonna cut the fouler off, turn it around and weld it back on.

I already send an e-mail to Berk. I'll post the outcome of it.

HaHa, that's lame. If you can't successfully engineer something that will out perform a $2.99 piece from Autozone you've got issues. I ordered the Megan test pipe about a week before the Berk one popped up and I was like "damn" but now I'm glad I bought when I did. I didn't know people were having trouble.

Anyway to help fellow S2krs out Ryan!

I've also tried starting a thread on what offsets you need to run certain width tires, but it didn't go as well. And recently I've tried starting a thread with all the different weights of exhausts, headers, test-pipes, and even through flywheels in there. Went for a little...but never took off so I gave up on that too

But ya, I'm surprised that Berk designed the test pipe the way they did...ohh well. "my" trick works wonders...I'm over 20,000 miles with this and never a CEL

I am at 350 miles and no CEL. Thanks again Silver9k! I just used two of P/N 42002 (one drilled, one not) instead of that 42009 (the one with the washer). Hopefully they won't rattle out.

But some people are talking about not smelling anything after doing this? I might be with XV on this one; after stoplight to stoplight activity my eyes burn (and it is not from the Mexican food!). But for now it is just too much damn fun!!!

^^what's it smell like?

If I had to compare the odor, it smells like gas being pumped. Strong fumes but nothing bad.

I can smell it when I idle in a garage or stand directly behind the car...but coming up to stoplights top-down I smell nothing...

But to describe the smell, yes, its just like the car is running a rich mixture

Quick question, does anyone know if the EVO, STi/WRX, and SRT-4 guys use the same 18mm antifoulers? I have some friends wanting to do this mod too.
