medium pitched buzzing sound from driver rear
xviper- This is a little of topic, but the other night and since, I have heard what could possibly sound like an exhaust leak. This sound is only audible when passing through areas of foliage or concrete barrier walls. It is not a constant thing- it doesn't happen every time I pass through these areas. It seems to stop just as abruptly as it starts. Most of the time it occurs at higher rpm's.
Any guess? NA, and it's definitely not the intake.
Thanks to any and all.

Skip, the variables are enormous and a "guess" is all I can give you.
At high rpm and moderate road speed, this car (well, any car really) makes a lot of noises that you would not hear just sitting still and revving. I'm talking about tire noise, noise of the air passing over & under & around the car, noises made by air going through the spinning wheels, noises of the various pulleys spinning around in the engine and even exhaust noises. I'm not refering to the actual sounds these things make, but rather, the "bounce back" (echo) noises that these things make as you pass certain objects and types of terrain you drive past. Depending on what you go by, these sounds can be slightly different and come and go. "Bounce back" noises are ones we do not always hear and thus, seem strange to us when we notice them.
If you truly have an exhaust leak, you should be able to hear it by just revving the car sitting still. Have someone do this while you get your ears down low and move around the car listening.

Thanks, xviper. I didn't think it was an exhaust leak for the same reason you mentioned- not continuous. I had dave22 in the car. We both agreed it wasn't "normal" car sounds, yet the car ran/runs fine. After 49k+ miles, the creaks of the top and such have, well crept into the vehicle. This was a very raspy, almost metal-in-nature type of sound.
And there's no way in hell I'm going to put my ear close to my Invidia exhaust(never silenced) while someone has the chance to give me payback!
