Messed up doing a valve adjustment...
Here's the story...I got a new torque wrench and accidently overtorqued a nut on one of the valve adjustment screw/bolt. After that the threads were messed up and the nut wouldn't turn without the adjustment bolt. Eventually the entire bolt broke in half while trying to loosen the nut. I'm wondering if I can just replace the adjustment bolt and nut or do I need to replace that entire rocker arm assembly. How hard of a job do you think it will be to just replace the bolt? Any advice is appreciated... worst case I'll tow it to the dealer and let them do it.
This might help you find the part:

Can't help you with how hard it might be to fix it.

You can fix it but only if the threads on the rocker are ok. If they are stretched/deformed it's going to loosen up easily. Now if you only damaged teh tappet screw adjuster, you can just replace that and the nut & be good to go.
Getting my car back tommorow... $451 in repairs including the valve adjustment to spec (0.08" intake, 0.11" exhaust). I think they have to pull the camshaft and holders before removing the rocker arm assembly to replace the bolt.
Make that $517 in repairs. After the valve adjustment the engine feels like its running smoother and making more horsepower at all RPMs. It's also slightly louder than before. It definately "purs" nicer in the lower RPMs and screams louder in VTEC. The first 8 valve clearances I checked before breaking a bolt were way too loose and most were out of factory spec @ 40500 miles.
