hey guys, i've changed the front brakes easily. i just removed the bottom caliper bolt and the caliper would swing upwards.

now i read for the rear caliper you need to remove both bolts which i ahve circled in the picture and obviously done! The caliper wont budge still!

Don't forget to "not apply" the parking brake.
And you'll have to twist the piston back in, not push.
Check out the DIY on top of UTH too.

yup FAQ's - the rear drum "screws" down, it can't be pushed.

Drums, who's car has drums. Just take a Mallet and give it a wack. It's just stuck.

Dumb question...is your parking brake off?

Also, you'll nee to get a "special tool" to push the piston in so you can fit the assembly with new pads back onto the rotor. Go to a local parts store and tell them you're doing a rear brake job and need the tool to push the piston in...there are a few generic tools that they should sell to fit most cars. The rear piston has to be turned to make it go in...you can't push it like the front pistons.

Seriously if you took both those bolts off...make sure your parking brake isn't on...make sure that you can spin the rotor like you would the wheel...or even just slap a wheel on there without lug nuts and try to spin it. You should be able to freely. If you can't then you either have you parking brake on which would most definity stop you from being able to take the caliper off. Or there is some how some pressure trapped in the lines...if there is, the bleed out a little fluid.

But my guess is that your parking brake is on.
