Default Mirror fell off...

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry4014985

So after loosening the screw and sliding the Mirror back in to the catcher. I hold the mirror there and tighten the screw from underneath AS HARD AS I CAN. The mirror holds. BUT as I try to adjust it, it wiggles out and I have to catch it so it doesn't fall.

No matter how hard I tighten the screw it seems that the mechanism is not able to hold it in tight. So I tightened it in my hand and the metal piece tightens incredibly tight. What am I doing wrong.

Are you tightening it the correct direction? It sounds silly, but take it off and look to see which direction tightens. I remember being stymied by something like this once, cant temember if it was the S.

Yeah I can feel the circular metal piece gripping on to the part glued to windshield when I tighten it, so now the rear view mirror doesn't just fall out. But wiggles back out so it is gripping just not enough.

When it wiggles out you hear metal piece make a *Click* noise meaning it was pretty damn tight. I feel like the metal is way too smooth and that's why it doesn't want to stay in place.
