Default moaning and groaning....

well, this might not be something to worry about....but i'm a pretty paranoid guy. well, here it is...when i'm at a stop, and crank the wheel completely left or right, and start moving, i hear a slight moaning groaning noise in the back(pretty sure its coming from the rear end). it only can be heard below a few mph. otherwise, while driving, cornering, its never heard. i know people who have complained of rear end noise, but i'm not sure whats normal. thanks for any help!

When was the last time you changed the diff fluid?

OK. When I read the topic the first thing that came to mind was bodies in the trunk.

What a coincidence. I just noticed something similar yesterday in a two-month old 2005. It sounds like gear whine in the differential when one wheel is moving faster than the other during a tight turn.

Maybe they did and maybe they didn't. If they did, maybe they put the wrong stuff in ...............................

On the other hand, maybe you just have super sensitive hearing or not familiar with what you're hearing. It may be normal. It's your Limited Slip Diff "slipping".

You are going to be freaking out a bit then. The S makes quite a few sounds, even when everything is working perfectly. I think of it as personality and believe if something is wrong it will be pretty obvious.

On the right roads the passenger seat (when unoccupied) can vibrate with the bumps in the road. I get tired just thinking about it....
