Default Morning startup question

I have a question to ask you guys.

Sometimes, rarely, but sometimes in the mornings when i'm starting my s2k my car makes the sound like when your starting a regular car with a key and you hold the key too long. Or another example, after your car is started and you turn the key and the started makes a grinding sound. well since its a push button I dont know how I could be messing that up.

Has anyone else had this problem, is it just ignition timing? help would be appreciated. Thanks

Daniel

Are you holding the start button in too long? That will cause the same sound.

Sounds like the bendix in your starter might be sticking or staying engaged. Not sure how the S2000 starter is made, but seems to be either selenoid, or bendix sticking.

i have this too. someone said it was the starter sticking, and not disengaging...causing the noise.

you would have to fix the starter...don't know how, but in my thread someone suggested a way to fix it..

i'm just going to live with it.
