mounting a rear view mirror

Default mounting a rear view mirror

i bought a carbon fiber rear view mirror but it seems like it for an ap2. what im thinking is to take the old mounting thingy thats attached to the window off using fishing line and buy the ap2 one from honda and glue it on with whatever the factory uses. what do you guys think?

I always wondered how people tint their windshields with the mirror in the way.

When I had my windshield replaced for a rock hit, I glued on a GM universal for my Gentex autodim mirror on the new glass.

Prior to that tho, the installer thought he needed the old mount and twisted it off the old windshield with a set of pliers/quick flick of the wrist...GL and if you crack the windshield you still have comprehensive to replace it.
