I would be using a Dynojet 224 but I am not using to compare peak hp or torque, just curious as to where the Mugen ECU makes it's power and torque. I understand that comparing dynos from different cars is useless in most aspects. I want a baseline to verify what the Mugen ECU should be doing. No offense to UL but I also wonder about UL's dynapack dynos in regards to peak hp. I believe UL has stated that the difference between the dynapack and dynojet is about 10hp higher on a dynapack (given everything else remains equal). I've been told by various shops in the area that it is more like 10% higher. I also remember reading a member who dynoed his car somewhere around 17hp higher on a dynapack then what he did previously on a dynojet with the same stock car. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a shop in the area that uses a dynopack to double check this (most likely due to cost). But the guys I have talked to on the subject are well known Vette Tuners and Ford Guys who have built some serious V8 engines. Of course they could just be trying to toot their own horn since they use a dynojet. So everything is taken with a grain of salt.
