Default Mugen intake cooling guide- HELP!

I've been lazy for a loooong while, just decided to actually attempt to install the factory cooling guide back on. Here's the problem. I've cut exactly where the instructions say to cut, but it still does not fit. Does ANYONE have pictures of a CUT cooling guide/plate so I can see where I need to cut? Thanks..

...Not the HOOD, but the cooling guide plate for the radiator. I've already seen pics of the plate back IN the car, but they do not provide the info I need. Maybe rough measurements of the piece cut out? Help?

If you cut exactly where the instructions say (three segments) it will let in the air as needed. It is not a 'ram air' installation, just a limited opening in the high pressure area of the guide.

Thanks cdelena, but it does not want to "fit" back in it's place. I cut what the pic shows- from one diagonal line to the other end, roughly about 2in high and about 8in long or so (not exact, estimated by memory). It seems like I gotta cut a gang load more for it to fit. Or am I just forrest gump?

When I tried to put it back on, it was rubbing against the back side of the intake to the plastic guide. It was pushing up against intake, and the intake was rubbing against the metal front end (where the bumper begins).

You must bend the guide to get it in and out, but once in place properly it should fit no different than before, with no unusual contact. I question if you have it fully back in place. My intake (installed after the guide was put back in) barely contacts the guide as it must be squeezed in between the guide and the metal upper cross-piece. The cut has nothing to do with the fit, just the air flow.

Hmm.. well, I did all the bending and jamming required to get it back in. While I did not clip it in (maybe my mistake?), I reinstalled the intake and found it rubbing against the metal cross-piece and the guide. I understood from the begining that the guide cut out was just for air flow and not for fitment
Well, cdelena, thanks for the info. I'm gonna try it again and see what's up...I mean geez, it can't be this hard...
Happy Thanksgiving cdelena and to all.....
