Default My dipstick keeps poping out

This happens when i drive the car hard. The o-rings on seem like they are still working and i installed Krankvents but it still pops up and i cant figure out why. The car dynoed 215whp and doesnt seem to have excessive blow by and valves are adjusted perfectly. I have never had this problem before

I have a stock 06 and my engine dipstick did the same thing. I bought a new one at the dealer and the problem was solved. Never pops out anymore even when driving hard. I believe it was a slight defect in the o-rings.

My dipstick keeps poping out, any ideas
...Thats what he said.

I had the same problem on another car. It had to do with a bad valve adjustment and my pcv valve was bad ( too much pressure in valve cover) . Not completely sure that it would have the same effect on the S because there is a vent straight into the intake.
you also have Krankvents, wich are pretty much overkill for non boosted applications. Make sure they are working. With the vents there should be even more vacuum that would hold the stick in.

I'd prolly go with everyone else on this one, Inspect the o rings on the dipstick. Go to a hardware store and get thicker ones if you need to.

I read that a couple people on here put the dipstick in with a 180degree rotation, so the cap kinda wedges against the valve cover. Never tried it tho.

Its a common thing with S2000s - 4 cyl engine = lots of vibrating. Keep the mouth of the head dry and the o-rings dry and it will stick.

Spin the dipstick around 180 degrees from 'normal'. I do that on my track car because I'm too lazy to replace the o-rings.
