my s2000 is in Limp Mode help me out!
i own a 2000 Honda S2000 completely stock.
ok so a week ago after waking up i took my car out and was heading out to work
then pulling out of my drive way i realized my car wouldn't go pass 3,000 RPMS
so the whole way to work (thank god my work is 2 miles away) im shifting below 3 the entire way in every gear and it tops out at 56mph at 6 gear!?
i brought it to a near by shop the next day
they scanned and diagnose it and said it was the map sensor
so yesterday i unplugged my battery reseted the ecu and then plugged my battery in and started it...
i revved it and still did not go pass 3k
i unplugged the battery once more and then went to sleep hoping to wake up and see if that was enough time to reset the ECU... that didn't do and im down 80 bucks and my car still isn't working right...
anyone have a clue on what the problem is?

Is it throwing a code? And did you replace the MAP as suggested?
The only time I've heard of an issue like yours, the problem ended up being the throttle position sensor.

should i replace the throttle position sensor as well?
They come together with a throttle body, since they're individually paired up (oxymoron?) TB-TPS. Get $500 ready. But chances are that's not it. Try doing a MAP Whack procedure (do a search here on forums).
Resetting an ECU:
1. Disconnect battery.
2. pull out 'Backup' fuse, 7.5Amps from under the dash fuse box.
3. 10 seconds
4. put it back in, reconnect battery.
5. Do an ECU idle learn procedure (do a search).
Should be good to go.
If you throw a code again:
Stop by an auto parts store, they'll pull a P**** code for ya. Post it here.
In leu of that, get a paperclip and jump pin # 4 and #9 in your OBDII port under the dash. Then turn ingintion on (don't start). CEL will flash out a 2-digit code. Longer flashes- first digit. shorter flashes - second digit. Post it here. This will give us an idea.
